Is Your Facebook Business Page Mobile Friendly? Facebook is constantly changing the layout of personal and business pages. It isn’t all that important for you to have the correct size on a personal page, but to have a polished online image, your business page needs to look good!
To find out if your page is mobile friendly, simply have a look at it on your phone, or tablet. The entire timeline cover photo should appear. Did you know over half of all Facebook users only access Facebook using their mobile devices? When people visit your page and find the cover photo cut off, it does not make for a good impression.
What size should your photo be? Ideally, your main photo should be 563 pixels wide, and 315 pixels tall, but if your photo is that size, Facebook will stretch it to make it fit the full width of 828 x 315. In order to have your cover look correct, you need to add 133 pixels of something to each side. Whatever you add should not be important as it will not show on mobile devices.
For my business page cover, I used my logo, but then added the blue to the sides to make it fit on a traditional device, and on a mobile device, only the logo will show. On mobile, the blue will disappear.
Keep in mind, no one knows when Facebook will change their dimensions again, but for now this is what works. If you need help getting your Facebook business page in order, give me a call, or send me an email. I’d be happy to help you.
