The majority of real estate sites Realtors are on are free, so why not take advantage of free marketing? If you are paying for your own website or for other websites, you definitely want to make sure you are getting the most you can for your money!
How do you create a stellar online presence?
1. How old is your photo?
Realtors are notorious for having an old photo on their business cards, signs, ads, etc. Take the time to get a nice, new, up to date photo. What are you hiding from? If prospective clients contact you because you look thirty and when you meet, your are actually fifty, it is not a good thing. Try to get a new photo every five years or so to stay up to date!
2. Have you updated your about me text?
When is the last time you actually updated your about me page on websites? Things change over time. Go in and clean up your about me text, refresh it and make sure the information is current.
3. Is your profile complete?
Have you filled out all the areas you possibly can in your profile set up? Prospective clients are looking at a lot of profiles online and want to know as much as they can about a Realtor before they make contact.
4. Do you have consistent headers on your profiles?
Have you checked to make sure you have the same and most current headers on your profiles and pages such as your personal website, Facebook, Zillow, and any others where you have a profile? Consistency is key in your branding strategy.
5. What is your strategy for a stellar online presence?
Do you have a marketing plan for your online presence? Even though every site speaks to different groups of people, you do need to have a strategy and consistent theme through all your online sites.
The initial set up is the hard part. Once you have your strategy and you get your profile spiffed up, developing a stellar online presence across the board is not that difficult.
