Everyone wants to have a successful day. Many people are caught up in excuses such as not being a morning person, or not having enough time in the morning, but they are just excuses which may be another post one day! What are my 5 tips?
5 Tips For A Successful Day
1. Stretch before you get up!
Stretching is so important for your body. Most of us hop right out of bed and start running around which is not the best thing to do. Take a few minutes before you get out of bed to stretch out your muscles, start warming them up, and then get up and get going.
2. Exercise – get your workout in first thing!
I can hear it already, “I’m not a morning person.” It doesn’t matter. Exercise in the the morning to get your body working. It will stimulate your brain too! If I didn’t work out in the morning I would probably be a real dumb person, as most of my thinking is done during my morning workouts! If you plan to workout in the morning, nothing will get in the way. No clients want to see a house at 6am, your friends won’t want to go out to eat at 6am, get the workout done and forget about it for the rest of the day rather than dreading it!
3. Eat your breakfast!
Americans are notorious for skipping meals, especially breakfast. Your brain and your entire body need energy to start working properly. Don’t start skipping a healthy breakfast as it will lead to poor food choices for the rest of the day. Along with that coffee, have a piece of fruit, a quick egg, maybe some toast, yogurt, or cereal. It doesn’t take much time at all to make and eat breakfast.

4. Remember to breathe!
Of course, you are breathing if you are alive, but life is hectic and once we race out the door, things can get pretty crazy and we forget to just sit back, relax and breathe for a few moments. Taking a few moments to really breathe is calming and healthy for your body. It will also reset your brain to get back on track rather than running around like a crazy person.
5. Make a plan for your day.
How many of you, myself included some days, head out with appointments on your phone, small pieces of paper with notes, a paper calendar in the office, and no real “plan” for the day? Sit down, maybe at the end of the day or first thing in the morning and figure out all the tasks you have for the day. Write down you schedule, either on paper or on one of your devices. Check things off like on a grocery list. I you have a plan, you will have a successful day because you know everything you have to do, and you know what you have already done.
Have a successful day!
